Yet again, it is with regret that all your reservations have now had to be cancelled due to this latest lockdown. We are hoping to reopen on the 2nd of December subject to government guidelines.

We now have limited access remotely to our emails so unfortunately we are very restricted to what we are able to do from home, but please be assured that all reservations where a deposit has been paid will be transferred to a future booking.

We are still taking bookings for December onwards either online or via emails (we will try to respond to any queries/bookings, etc. as quickly as possible, so please bear with us).

With regards to gift vouchers that expire with in this period of quarantine, we are offering an extension of two months from the date that we reopen.

We hope you appreciate these are extreme circumstances and that we are temporarily in hibernation until this disastrous virus passes, and we would welcome your support and understanding at this difficult time and look forward to reopening to a bright and healthy future again soon.

As soon as we have an opening date we will contact you in order to rebook you in to redeem any vouchers or deposits.

DEPOSITS/CANCELLATIONS/GRATUITIES

DEPOSITS

We request a £25PP deposit upon making all reservations to secure the booking and this will be deducted from your final bill.Late cancellations or No shows are both damaging to our business and upsetting for guests that missed an opportunity to get a table.Please note during premium days (i.e. Christmas/Valentines) and special events (i.e. Wine Dinners/Guest Nights) deposit values may vary. You may be required to pay 50% or the full ticket value in order to secure the reservation.

COVID19 POLICY

We are fortunate to have numerous lounges and dining rooms which will allow us to comply with social distancing guidelines set out by Public Health England (PHE).

We welcome the enhanced requirements being issued by many health authorities and, as always, we remain uncompromising in our approach to cleanliness to ensure our high standards are achieved and upheld.

You can also expect some new safety measures across all areas, including (but not limited to):

– Enhanced procedures and training for all of our staff regarding hygiene, including daily temperature checks on arrival into work
– Sanitising stations provided at all entrances for guests and work areas for staff
– Use of personal protective equipment by staff, following PHE guidelines
– Enhanced and regular cleaning regimes covering the bar & lounge, dining rooms and communal areas
– Adjustments to the restaurant layout, service and staff rotas to reduce the number of guests and staff in any area
– A “No handshaking policy”
– Guests may be asked to take a temperature test (subject to guidelines) on arrival

We would ask any guest regardless of their recent travels to let us know if they feel unwell prior to their visit and we will work with you to rebook.

Please be assured that we will continue to monitor closely the evolving nature of this situation, respond to up-to-the-minute advice from Public Health England, and do everything possible to support our guests and team during this period.

CANCELLATION POLICY
We require 14 days’ notice for refundable cancellations, within 14 days deposits are non-refundable, however, can be transferred to a future booking at a later date. (non covid19 related)

PRIVATE PARTIES

We require a £250 for all upstairs private dining and £500 for the main restaurant which will be deducted from the final bill.

We request at least 3 weeks’ notice for private dining cancellations.

Reservations will be held for 14 days during which time we will contact you if we receive any other enquires for the chosen date, after this time the room will be released if we have not received you non-refundable deposit.

GRATUITES

An Optional 10% Gratuity will be added to the final bill on the evening.

MENUS

For parties on a Sunday lunch – 9-14 Guests – the 3 choice menu will be offered, this will have to be pre ordered in advance.

For parties over 14 you will be required to select a set menu.

For all parties –

Dinner – The Box Tree set tasting menu (vegetarian option available)

Lunch – Friday and Saturday the Box Tree lunch menu or the Box Tree tasting menu will be offered. (vegetarian option available)

Current menus will be provided before the event in order to pre-select one of the above options.

LAST ORDERS

Last orders for drinks will be 12.30am as the restaurant is licenced to 1.00am.

DRESS CODE

At the request of our guests, The Box Tree Restaurant has a smart casual dress code.

CORKAGE

Corkage will apply from £35.00 per bottle for still wine and £45.00 per bottle for champagne/sparkling wine. This would also increase, depend on the wine provided.

CHILDREN

Dinner children welcome over the age of 10 years

Lunch children welcome over the age of 5 years.

No prams, children’s menu or baby changing facilities available.

For private parties children of any age are welcome in the allocated dining areas.

We do not provide children’s menus, however we can adapt various dishes from current available menus.

Please Note – We do not have any changing facilities or storage for prams.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

Any property damaged will be valued and charged accordingly.
